Signs Your Rabbit May Be Sick
Reduced eating, fewer or smaller droppings, hiding, unusual stillness, a hunched posture, loud tooth grinding, discharge, breathing changes, or loss of normal interest can indicate illness.
A rabbit does not need to show every sign before veterinary advice is warranted.
Seek Prompt Veterinary Help When
- The rabbit stops eating or produces markedly fewer droppings.
- Breathing becomes labored, noisy, or unusually fast at rest.
- The rabbit is weak, collapsed, very cold, or unable to move normally.
- Pain, bloating, bleeding, head tilt, seizure activity, or severe injury appears.
- A subtle change worsens quickly or occurs with more than one symptom.
