Rabbit Ear Problems
Ear mites, bacterial infection, wax accumulation, injury, masses, and deeper middle- or inner-ear disease can affect rabbits.
Lop-eared rabbits may be more prone to poor ventilation and wax retention.
Seek Prompt Veterinary Help When
- The rabbit stops eating or produces markedly fewer droppings.
- Breathing becomes labored, noisy, or unusually fast at rest.
- The rabbit is weak, collapsed, very cold, or unable to move normally.
- Pain, bloating, bleeding, head tilt, seizure activity, or severe injury appears.
- A subtle change worsens quickly or occurs with more than one symptom.
